汉英同声传译的时差控制与文体变化

在即席视译和同声传译中，译员无论如何都要考虑的问题是:什么时候切入原语开始翻译？在翻译过程中与原语保持多大时差？如何调节语速？一般来说，一旦能翻译成子句或相对独立的短语（如解释时间、地点、目的、条件等状语），就可以切入原语进行翻译。在翻译过程中，翻译和原语应尽可能保持半句到一句之间的距离。不同的译者可以根据自己的经验和演讲者的具体情况灵活掌握。然而，在实践中，语言现象正在发生变化。就汉语和英语而言，其结构形式非常不同，往往需要重新理解和随机处理。句子的划分可能因时间、地点和人而异。什么时候保持多少距离？不同的距离对翻译本身或所使用的技能有什么影响？这仍然值得讨论。让我们通过具体的翻译来看看可能的情况。

The commemoration is therefore all the more significant. We can use this occasion to stand on a higher plane in both retrospection and prospection, and to discuss how to fulfill the great missions of the United Nations.

　　通过对这两段翻译的比较分析，我们还可以发现时差对翻译风格的影响：翻译1非常紧密，所以使用插入介词短语”。 through the collective efforts of its members, and with its aim to…”翻译时听下面要出现的谓语部分的方法，而译文2则直接翻译 出了“…has done much useful work in…”说明译员在听完全句后开始翻译，或者对讲稿内容有很好的了解，知道后面的内容，或者有很强的预测能力。
　　上述两段同声传译的各种不同翻译描述，时差的控制直接涉及到翻译的风格、不同的翻译技能、翻译人员的质量、经验和翻译前的准备，也解释了同声传译与连续翻译或翻译的本质区别。因此，在同声传译教学中，结合实践经验、翻译理论和技能，不断提高学生的时差控制意识，这确实是一个必须充分强调的重要方面。
　　整个单词及时调整单词和速度，避免翻译过程中的纠正，或因为没有时间纠正而不知所措。根据作者的经验，由于英语和汉语在表达相同意思时往往较少，显得更简洁，为了调整语速，使语言连接，经常需要使用一些填充词，并做一些“模糊”处理暂时难以掌握。在不同的情况下，不同翻译人员的翻译差异可能比连续翻译大得多，比翻译差异更大。这反映了同传对灵活性的高要求，但并不意味着没有规律可循。
